Mightyz Jasmine Spray
This is a simple method to extract the scent from Jasmine Tea or Herb.
Directions:
From your local COOP or using Jasmine Tea (Jasmine Tea bags also work), grind up
the jasmine tea leaf in a mortar and pestle until a powder.
In a Copper Pot or Long Rectangular Glass Bottle, add enough distilled water to
barely cover the Jasmine powder at an approximate ratio of 2 parts distilled water
to 1 part jasmine powder.
Next go ahead and simmer on low heat for 5 to 7 minutes.
Next run this liquid through a coffee filter or cheesecloth and bottle. When bottling, it is key you add everclear alcohol in the parts of 10 parts Jasmine to 1 Part ever clear to preserve the Jasmine, or it will go sour.
You can now buy
100 coffee filters from the Dollar Store, so they are really cheap.
Processing Notes:
The smaller the pot or bottle used the less time it will take for it to reach simmer
temperature. Do not overheat or oversimmer as jasmine retains a "burned" scent
well. If you want to increase the scent, add 4 to 5 drops of Jasmine Essential Oil
to the finished liquid. This is
one trick to make your Jasmine Essential Oil
go a very long way.
I hope this helps you enjoy the beneficial properties of Jasmine.
