natural sweetener. Due to its powerful antiviral properites is very
good for clearing and strengthening the lungs and respiratroy system
(1). The sweet taste of Licorace can cause one to abuse it.
Therefore it should be used in small amounts as excess amounts
have been shown to cause problems (2). Licorace root has also been
shown to be good for Human Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells (3) and
improve the function of the liver (4). Being a rich source of
flavonoids it exerts estrogen activity (5).

My experience of being an anti-aging researcher over the years has
found this root to be one of the very best. I rank it with Fo TI
and Goji Berry as being one of the very best anti-aging substances I
have ever come across. An extract has been scientifically proven to lengthen
lifespan up to 50% in C. elegans (1) and was shown to
extend lifespan twice as much as resveratrol (1) . I strongly believe
this plant, as well as the 2 other plants in its species have been used
/ are being used as the primary herb to extend lifespan by those
mentioned in the Indian legends of the mystic masters who lived
extremly long lived lifespans.
Safed Musli belongs to the Ayurvedic Rasayana branch of anti-aging
medicine and is famouns forenhancing the quality of life, preserving
and promoting health and delaying the aging process. Ayurvedic
anti-aging medicine utilizes it for delaying the aging process
and increasing lifespan. It is also used for enhancing cognitive
function and physical strength (1).
